High-performance ceramic prototypes in series quality through rapid prototyping
Efficient production process
The rapid prototyping process used by Kyocera enables the production of prototypes that have exactly the same properties as the series product. Thanks to the use of identical materials, functional and material tests can be carried out directly on the component. The precision of the prototypes produced is impressive with tolerance classes below 20 µm and surface roughness below Ra 0.4 µm.
Advantages at a glance
- Fast delivery: 2 weeks for standard dimensions, max. 6 weeks for special dimensions
- High precision: Manufactured to the highest precision standards.
- Wide range of materials: Various high-performance ceramics are available, including Al2O3, ZrO2 and ZTA.
- Function and material tests: Tests can be carried out directly on the prototypes.
- CAD/CAM machining: Reliable machining, even for complex 3D and free-form geometries.
- Ready-to-install components: Prototypes are manufactured with mechanical engineering tolerances and are ready for immediate installation.
